A Sketch and a Layout!

Hi there! I thought we’d start this week out with a page sketch. I sketched this page to use 4x6 photos, but play around and get as creative as you want! Oh, and for some reason the photo mats are only showing up as dark lines, go figure, so where you see the thick lines I planned a photo mat. I'm posting a layout I did from this sketch and I’d love to see your pages too! I played around with the embellishments and used ribbon instead of arrows and instead of dots I used this really cool little rolling stamp. I got it from the Glitz Girls and it looks like stitching. I just love it! If you haven't checked out their stuff you should, http://www.glitzitnow.blogspot.com/. I still need to do my journaling, hense the blank white squares, but one thing at a time right?! Ok, tag, you're it! Make a layout using my sketch. Well have a great day, and happy scrappin!

Happy Sunday everyone! I saw this on flikr, and just had to post it! Such eye candy and inspiration. I love the colors too. That aqua blue, so great! I have some vintage seam binding in that color that I have been using on some new items for the shop, I just love it!

Have a great day!

First Post!

Hello everyone! Well here is the official first post for Pink Owl Paperie! We are going to have so much fun. I'll give you just a little taste of all the goodies you're going to be able to find here: page layout sketches, paper craft project ideas, ways to use Pink Owl Paperie embellishments and kits, vintage finds, contests, giveaways, and oodles of other scrapbook bliss!

These are some pics of a few projects I made using the "Shabby Floral Vintage Kit." I just luv, luv, luv putting kits together. Mixing some of my favorite scrapbook products with vintage trims, ribbons, glitter, and ephemera equals absolute bliss. When I put a kit together I make one for me too, that way I can play with it and come up with some yummy project ideas to share!

I love using decorative hat pins on layouts and cards. They look really cute with ribbons tied around them too. Or try hanging a tiny tag from one before you insert it into your paper, super cute!

Just incase you were wondering what was wrong with my daughters eyes, she got into my makeup. She decided she wanted to be just like mommy, and I caught her putting eyeliner on. After we discussed what a "no-no" that was, I couldn't help but snap a few pics! lol

I made this cute little wall hanging using the chipboard butterfly and that pink vintage trim is sooo sweet!

For this shabby tag, I painted mod podge all over the chipboard bracket and covered it with the superfine sage glitter. Oh, I just love that shabby fabric trim!

Alright, I hope that gives you some good ideas for your little scrappin' caps! (and I still have a bunch of leftover goodies from the kit to play with!)

I've got a lot of exciting plans coming soon! I'm going to be holding an official "grand opening" at the Pink Owl Paperie http://www.pinkowlpaperie.etsy.com/ I'm working on a line of embellishments, some mini albums, a line of journals, and kits right now. Check the shop often 'cause I'll be adding these little yummies over the next few weeks. The week of the grand opening (around the end of July) I'll be having lots of fun giveaways and freebies on the blog and in the shop. It's going to be a hoot!

Good bye for now. Thanks for stopping by the Pink Owl, come again soon!
