Guest Designer Layout

It has been so fun having Miss Jami Rodolph as my guest designer this month! I just love her sweet shabby style, don't you? Well here's some more inspiration for you then!
Not only can she scrap, but the gal can cook too! Way to go on getting your recipe published Jami! I love the colors (red, my favorite) and the scallops. ...oh and that 7 Gypsies Red Gaffer Tape- LOVE IT! This layout has such a fab vintage feel, thanks for sharing Jami!

She used one of the Vintage Journaling Cards from my shop. I just listed some more of them yesterday, go here to check them out.

More new goodies going in today. I'm trying to get the shop restocked before Thursday because we are leaving for Pennsylvania to visit my husbands family. On a more personal note, my father-in-law has just been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. It is progressing rather quickly and I am praying for a miracle. Cancer is such a terrible disease, I'm so thankful that we can have a hope beyond what we or the doctors can see. Our plan is to leave Thursday and fly back the end of the following week, so I will be out the shop for a while. Thanks everyone for your support!

Some Altered Inspriation

I've got an adorable journal to share with you today. One of my customers, the lovely and talented Hessa, sent me a link for this fabulous journal she created. She used one of the Snazzy Chipboard Blossoms from my shop on the cover.
Isn't it amazing!?! She even hand cut the inside journaling pages. Hessa has her own etsy shop, Katkoot's Corner, and it is equally fabulous. Your should definitely go here to check it out.
I love all the vintage looking divider pages...and the tabs too cute! I want one of these to have in my purse or in the kitchen to write down all those little things I don't want to forget, to hold fabric swatches I like, home decor ideas/magazine clippings, project lists, inspiration, etc. I love that this journal is refillable and because it is bound by rings it could handle being filled with bulky items (like fabric scraps etc). Thanks so much Hess for sharing this marvelous creation with us!

More goodies going in my shop today, so go and check them out! I hope you all have a wonderful Good Friday! Enjoy the day!

Today's Card Idea

So to continue with my plan to make more cards this year (my goal is to have a stash so whenever I need one it's there waiting), here is a new one I made.
I actually plan to add another "title word" to it once I know who I'm going to give it to. (IE: Baby what a wonderful word, Friend what a wonderful word etc) I used one of the Life is Sweet Mini Journaling Cards from my shop. They are one of my favorites.
I love adding dimension to my projects. So for this card I added some thick adhesive foam tabs to the back of the butterfly stickers. I made a layout using these same goodies and I layered the small and large butterflies with the foam tabs. They look like those fun dimensional stickers/chipboard sets for 1/2 the price!

Have a fantastic day everyone! More goodies going in the shop today. I'm off to finish up my projects for Ready Set Create!

Our Fabulous Guest Designer...

Miss Jami is such a talented gal! Here's some more of her wonderful work today!

Just look at those adorable girls, and the colors, oh my! So pretty and fun! I have to get one of those wonderful border punches she used! (the green paper edges)
On this layout she used one of the Girlie Girl Journaling Cards from my shop. I love how she added a little bling to them, only fitting for those princesses! I love journaling cards, there is no end to the creative ways they can be used. Go here to get some for yourself.

I've been adding new goodies to the shop this week so be sure to stop by and check them out! More fun things to come too!

New Goodies Going In...

Going in the shop today: Birthday Boy, Birthday Girl, Glittered Artisan Labels, Swanky Chipboard Blossoms, and Shiny Buttons. Go here to check it all out!
These are the Birthday Boy Journaling Cards. They are so fun with check lists, cute graphics, stripes, checks, in blue, black, and white. They'd be great on invitations too!
These are the Seaside Glittered Artisan Labels. I haven't listed any new artisan labels in a while, which is odd because I just love them so much. So new styles and color combinations will be popping up, you won't want to miss them!

Today I'll be busy working on some samples from my shop to send to Ready Set Create Magazine. They want to feature some of my products in one of their summer issues! I'm so excited! Thanks ladies! I also have a lot of laundry and housework to get caught up on, ugh! Off to get breakfast going... have a great day!

Monday's Sketch

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! We had a wonderful weekend. It was jam packed with activities- egg hunt, birthday party, the park, the carousel, friends, family, church, baseball- it was great. Today will probably be lots of housework and laundry since the kids really need some down time here at home today. (...or maybe it's just mom who needs the down time!:)) Anyway... I've got another sketch and a layout for you today!

My son Parker and his uncle had so much fun playing in the skiff of snow we had that day! I added an extra strip of torn paper at the bottom of the layout, but otherwise I followed this sketch pretty closely. You could easily flip this sketch and make it into a double 12x12 layout and use one of the photo spots for extra journaling.

I used a bingo card, one of my 5 w's Mini Journaling Cards, one of my Right Here Mini Journaling Cards, and some fun plastic arrows for embellishments. Go here to find my journaling cards.

I've been working on a really cute spring banner for my house. It's almost done, so I'll post some pictures of it later this week. I'm also working on some new flowers for the shop and I'm still working on getting all my journaling cards listed. Be sure to stop by and check them out!

Something Pretty To Look At...

Just thought I'd share a little eye candy today. I've been seeing great ideas for making fun things using old sewing patterns lately. I've been loving the inspiration and I love the idea of taking something that would normally get tossed and giving it new life. So you can imagine my delight when this fabulous little package arrived in my mail. I ordered some adorable vintage Easter picks and this is how they came packaged. So stinking cute I just had to take a photo!
See what I mean? Get out those old sewing patterns(or call your mom or grandma get theirs) and get crafting!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! We're off to an egg hunt!

Another Layout to Share

Happy Friday everyone! I don't know about you, but this week just seemed like it couldn't get over fast enough. Just sharing another layout idea today. This one is of my little "Snow Princess."
Polka dots, scallops, and brackets....oh my! I just can't get enough of them!

I used some of the artisan labels from my shop. I've got some fun new color combos coming soon too...
This is one of my new Month Mini Journaling Cards. They will be coming to the shop soon as well. Think I will also make them in camel, sage, and pink. So fun!

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!! Tomorrow we are off to an egg hunt with the kids. It is a benefit for the local food bank. A helicopter is actually going to drop 20,000 (yes, that's 20,000) eggs filled with candy, games, and prizes for the kiddos. Sound likes a lot of fun for a wonderful cause! If your in the Missoula area, you should bring your crew down and check it out. It's this Saturday at 10:30 am at the Western Montana Fairgrounds. Just be sure and bring some non-perishable food to donate! They are also having bounce houses, prizes, and helicopter rides($25). It should be a ton of fun and provide endless photo ops! :)

Make a Card Today!

I'm really trying to make more cards this year. I love to give handmade cards because I know how much fun it is to receive them! :) I love getting a handmade card in the mail, don't you? So once a week I'm going to get my scraps out and make some cards. That way I'll always have one on hand when I need it!

Today I'm sharing a friendship card I made. I love aqua, so I thought I'd make this one monochromatic and use up some of those lovely scraps I have.

I also used one of the Mini Journaling Cards from the Pretty Words set in my shop. They make wonderful flower centers too. Go here to see the full set.
I love the way big flowers look when you fold them in half and put them along the edge of a page, card, photo mat etc. It's a fun and different way to add flowers. You can also cut them in half and use the other half somewhere else. It will get you more miles out of your flower stash too.

Have a great day! Be sure and stop by my shop to see the new goodies that have been going in!

A Guest Designer for April!

I'm so excited to announce that the very talented Jami Rodolph is my Guest Designer for April! So all you lucky readers will get to see glimpses of her fabulous creativity all month long! Starting today with this adorable layout.

Jami used a combination of my Bright and Funky and Classic Hip Journaling Cards. I love how she cut them in half and stitched them to the side of her page as an accent. More bang for your buck too right?! Go here to get some for yourself!

Thanks Jami for your amazing layout! Isn't she a brilliant talent!?!
