A beautiful wedding blog..

called Inventing Weddings featured some of my Vintage Shiny Buttons the other day. I went to check out their site and it is beautiful!! So full of pretty collections in all kinds of themes and styles. You'll have to go check it out, especially if your looking for any kind of color inspiration wedding or otherwise. I loved the "Big Top" theme- it is just too fun! It makes me want to get out my scrapbook stuff and get creating!

Have a great morning!

I LUV 6-up page protectors...

I don't think I've shared this new scrapbooking love with you yet... the 6-up page protector will become your new best friend.(if it isn't already) I have been using these a lot lately. I really love taking pictures. It's a hobby/obsession of mine. The problem is that I can't scrapbook them all. Now don't get me wrong, I weed out the bad/extra photos, but even then I really don't want 2-3 layouts of each photo session! :) SO... I use these page protectors. That way my favorite photos still make it into our albums, but I don't have to make layouts for all of them.

Here is an example of what I mean: I did 1 2 page layout and added a 6-up protector in between the pages. I kept these layouts simple so the whole thing was really quick.

...and here is the page protector: the front

Now you can get as simple or fancy as you want with these. You can fill all 12 spots with photos, use some spots for journaling, or scrapbook couple of the spaces. If you want it to be really quick just fill em with your photos and put it in between or following your layout. So simple, cute, and gives you the extra photo space with little effort. You could also use these to make an entire album and simplify the whole process. The possibilities are endless. They come in a variety of layouts and photo sizes too.

I'm adding more new goodies to the shop this week. Go here to check them out! Have a great day!

New Embellishments!

Yeah! My computer is working again! So now I can show you those fun new embellishment lines I've been working on!

These are from the "Wee Ones" baby line. Baby boy journaling cards and baby girl journaling cards come in sets of 6 and each one has a different vintage greeting card image, super sweet. The "Shiny Baubles" are a new embellishment made with vintage images that have been backed with chipboard. I put a thick glaze over them to make them shiny and have a glass like appearance. They would be adorable as flower centers! There are a lot of other embellishments in the shop (and coming soon) that coordinate with this line. I'll be posting a photo of all of them soon...

These are from my "Lovey Dovey" Valentines embellishments. The journaling cards come in a pack of six and each features a different vintage Valentine image. There are more new embellishments coming soon that will coordinate with them, including some velvet blossoms!

Cream and White...

Hi there! I don't know about you, but things have been crazy busy lately. I've got all kinds of deadlines, projects, social functions, in addition to the daily stuff right now. Whooo, that transition to fall, and all it entails, sure keeps us hopping doesn't it? Oh, I will be gone this afternoon through Sunday...but check back Monday for a giveaway next week!

I thought I show some new goodies I'm working on because I just love the color combo! Cream and White...so pretty! I love these two together partially because they are a staple in the world of Shabby Chic and because they are so versatile. I love that you can use them with anything. When I look at the blossoms below, I can picture them on a fancy wedding layout (...when you see the word "layout", feel free to substitute "card" or "paper craft project" depending on your passion :)). Or...they would be great on a baby or heritage layout, oh, and winter project too...don't they look like snowflakes all white and shimmery! You get my point.

TIP:
If you don't use this color combo much, try it on your next project. Mat your photos in alternating layers of white and cream, make a border out of white and cream buttons, or tie white tulle and cream ribbon around a photo or title block. So many pretty possibilities!

Watch for these color combos coming to the shop soon!
