Back from Vacation

Hi everyone, I'm back from vacation. We had such a great time we're all worn out! Well a few things to share today, first I'm posting a few extra photos of the new "write it down" journals in the shop.

A close up of the large journal cover.

A quick shot of the back.

The small journal cover.

I also wanted to talk a bit about the grand opening sale! It will take place the end of this month, exact dates yet to be decided. I'm going to be doing a couple giveaways on the blog during the sale and there will be a special gift with purchase as well. I have quite a few projects I'm working on that I will have in the shop for the sale. Some new kits, a travel album, a few new embellishments....ect.

Ok, that's all for now! Have a great day! Stop by tomorrow for a project idea to display photos on your wall.

I'm going to be doing a little work while I'm away; I have several new projects I just can't wait to get started on. I've also got a few packages to mail on Monday, (I'm sending out some samples to a new scrapbook store that is interested in carrying my embellishments!) so it won't be all play. It's hard for me to call this craft "work" though, because I LUV it so much! Ok... I'm off to finish packing, check back the end of next week for some new store items and an announcement about the "grand opening sale." Have a great week!

I'll leave you with a little eye candy!

My Crazy Life Felt Album

Ok it's done so here are the rest of the pictures!

A Sneak Peak....

Ok, I thought I'd give you a sneak peak of some new projects I'm working on. I have so many ideas in my poor little brain, it will be amazing if I can ever get them all made! I just love the Pink Paislee "office lingo" line of papers. I have been dying to make something with them, so I'm making a mini album (made of felt) and some journaling tags for the shop, and maybe even a wall hanging for my daughter's room. So here is a sneak peak at the felt album, it should be in the shop by tonight or tomorrow. I used stiff felt as the album base so it's almost like chipboard but has great texture. You can buy it just about anywhere you can buy felt squares. I also used my sewing machine, which is always fun, to attach the paper and felt together. I think you'd have to have a pretty strong adhesive to keep it from coming unattached if you didn't sew it.

This is the front cover; I wish you could see how the glass glitter sparkles in these pictures!

Here is one of the journaling tag sets I'm working on. This one has vintage silver glass glitter.

I've been mailing out packages this week, so I thought I'd show how your goodies from the shop will be arriving. I just love a pretty wrapped package! Have a great day!

Cute and Organized

Hey everyone! I can’t believe its Wednesday already! This week is flying by. I thought I'd show a cute organizational idea today. Did you notice the blue container holding some of my goodies from Pink Owl Paperie? Well it’s a cupcake pan that I primed and spray painted robins egg blue. I roughed it up to make it look old and shabby, and now it’s perfect for holding embellishments like buttons, brads, eyelets, buckles, I even wind up bits of ribbon and put them in there. I like to have my favorite things out where I can see them and can get to them easily. It looks so darn cute sitting in your scrap space too. It would be a good way to organize any kind of small supply, household items, or kids treasures. They’d be cute in just about any color too. For any of you out there that would like to have one but don’t want to paint ect, contact me at my etsy store and I’ll make some for the shop. Ok, well there’s my tip for today. Have a great Wednesday!

A Glittery Card Idea

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE vintage glass glitter? Well I do. My Grandma passed down a ton of it to me, and since then I’ve been using it on everything. This is a sweet little friendship card I made using the Pink Owl Paperie Pistachio Sparkled Felt Blossoms (they are covered with clear glass glitter), some vintage crochet lace, and some cute Fancy Pants papers. I also added more glitter to the corners and edges of the card, cause lets face it, I can’t get enough of the stuff. You can’t tell very well from the pictures, but it sparkles like you can’t believe! (the colored versions of the stuff contain real silver so they tarnish over time, too charming for words!) Well I’m off to work on some new projects for the shop…a cute mini album using felt, chipboard, and some super sweet shabby fabric! Oh, and probably a little glitter too! Ta ta.
