Altered Bingo Card and a Sneak Peak

I wanted to show you what I made using the vintage bingo card from the Woodland Fairytale Paper Crafting kit. This cute little boy hugging his teddy is my Dad! I wanted to display this photo in our home, so I decided to make a little "frame" out of the bingo card. I layered paper, a vintage flash card, felt shapes, and buttons tied with bakers twine. It was so quick and easy to make and now it looks so cute sitting on a little black stand in my family room. I thinks it's really cool that it has "Hal 21 months" written in my grandmother's handwriting! (we will talk more about the importance of using your handwriting on your projects later :) It's a fun alternative to a traditional picture frame. You can buy the stands all over the place, I think I got this one at Walmart. I just love finding new ways to incorporate scrapbooking into my home!

I also wanted to give you a little sneak peak at some new fair and carnival themed embellishments I've been working on. I don't know about you, but I want to soak up as much of these last days of summer as I can!

Oh, I wanted to mention I have a few bingo cards left if anyone is interested in a mini kit to make a "frame" or wall hanging. Just leave a post or convo me at the shop! (see pinkowlpaperie link to the right)

How special is this photo?! And your right, handwriting is SO important to leave for the next generations! I have horrible handwriting (looks like a 4th grader) and force myself to journal. But then cover it up with a flap or put it in a pocket. Ha!
