Some Summertime Ideas...

I have been playing around a lot with the saturation of my photos in my photo editing program. I've been using it to create a "tinted black and white" look on pictures I've taken of my children. I recently saw some carnival pictures that had a similar tinted look, more sophisticated editing techniques had obviously been used than I have access to in my little program, but I was able to achieve a similar look with some photos I took yesterday at our county fair. I really liked the idea; it gives the pictures that vintage feel I love so much! All I did was go to the color editing portion of my program and under color saturation I lowered the levels until I liked the look. I left more color in these because I still wanted them to be fun and summery. Really easy! If you haven't already played around with this you should try it! So many great ways to use it, especially with fall coming up! I can see pumpkin patch pictures with only the orange of the pumpkins "lighting" up the shot!

I left these last two unedited because well I do still love the bright colors of the summer!

Ok, now you try! Be sure and take lots of photos in this last month of summer! It's always so nice to have plenty of summer memories to scrapbook through those cold winter months! :)

That's a great idea! What photo program do you use? I've tried several, but never mastered any of them. I LOVE the picture of your little cowgirl!
