Happy Sunday!

Hey there! I hope you are all having a great weekend! I've been crafting my little fingers to the bone here. ;) I just love this time of year! The holidays always inspire me to create. How about you?

I thought I'd share a layout with you today. I used some of my Little Bit Country Journaling cards. (I haven't got these in my shop yet... they are coming soon though...)
I was trying to use up some of my older supplies on this layout, and I'm really happy that it all came together to look new!

I did a lot of distressing on these pages with sandpaper, ink, tearing, crumpling, and staples. I love to distress... no matter what you do you just can't mess it up! :)


and now.... a little reminder about my the Christmas update in my Etsy shop... it starts tomorrow! I'm going to start adding the new goodies to my shop mid morning and the update will probably go throughout the week. It will include ready to give gifts, crafting supplies, decorations, pretty packaging, and vintage goodies! I'll be having a giveaway here on my blog too, so be sure to come back tomorrow to enter! Bits of Fall...

Hey there! Anyone out there still??? I've been seriously out of touch lately. Life has just been so busy, I haven't wanted to give up a drop of time with my kiddos, hubby, etc! I have been doing a lot of crafting lately, which has been wonderful!!! I have lots of fun things planned for the Christmas season including a big holiday update in my etsy shop, fun decorating ideas, recipes, easy-peasy gifts you can make with your children... and a whole lot more! The glitter will be flying, so stay tuned!

Today I'm sharing a little bit of fall around my house. First, this is a little Fall sign I made for our dining room. I love fall decorations because they go up in Sept and last through November! It's great!!!

I layered paper, vintage sheet music, buttons, and silk flowers to make these big blooms.
Add in a cute little Jenni Bowlin bingo card, some vintage lace, and vintage inspired festooning (the fluffy trim around the bottom half) and it was finished!
This is Thanksgiving/fall wreath I made from strips of muslin, a vintage bingo card, a glittery gold bird, and a few other odds and ends. There may be a tutorial to make a Christmas version of this in the near future! ;)

So... on to my Etsy Shop- Pink Owl Paperie, there will be a big Christmas update coming to the shop starting the Monday before Thanksgiving. It will be a mix of goodies to create with, ready to give gifts, and of course some vintage treasures. I'll be sharing a few sneak peeks over the next week, so be sure and stop by to check them out! I'll also be doing a giveaways starting that same Monday, so stick around for some holiday fun!!

(ok, pathetic techie that I am, I had a little trouble with the logo/blinkie thingy. For some reason it kept adding about 10 for every 1 I entered. ...I think I finally got it though...)

Goodies Galore

I started listing my new goodies yesterday. I have lots more to list so be sure to check my shop out this week. Here's a little shot of some of the new Blossoms going in.
I just love the hand painted and glittered brad centers! I put a coat of glaze over the top to seal and protect them too.


I've really got to get birthday planning this week. I'm so far behind! We had 2 birthday's while we were staying with my in-laws, and I haven't done anything for the kids parties. I love to throw birthday parties, so these things are usually a bit over the top and lots of fun for me to plan.... but after being gone 2 1/2 weeks and losing my father-in-law, yikes I just can't seem to get it together! I think were going to have to do smaller mostly family parties this year, especially since my oldest turns 6 in about 3 weeks (my youngest just turned 2 and my daughter is now 4, sigh I can't believe how fast they are growing up!). As you can tell, spring is birthday season in our household. I think maybe we should've tried planning the pregnancies... having 3 birthdays with in 1 month... crazy! :)...but then again, who am I to question the master plan! :) Ok, I better get cracking on those invitations!

Traveling....

Hello everyone! I'm going to be gone until the 24th (next Friday), so I will not be shipping anything from my shop until the Monday after I get back... but feel free to keep shopping! :) We are off to visit my In-Laws and spend some time with my father-in-law. I hope you all have a marvelous week!

Guest Designer Layout

It has been so fun having Miss Jami Rodolph as my guest designer this month! I just love her sweet shabby style, don't you? Well here's some more inspiration for you then!
Not only can she scrap, but the gal can cook too! Way to go on getting your recipe published Jami! I love the colors (red, my favorite) and the scallops. ...oh and that 7 Gypsies Red Gaffer Tape- LOVE IT! This layout has such a fab vintage feel, thanks for sharing Jami!

She used one of the Vintage Journaling Cards from my shop. I just listed some more of them yesterday, go here to check them out.

More new goodies going in today. I'm trying to get the shop restocked before Thursday because we are leaving for Pennsylvania to visit my husbands family. On a more personal note, my father-in-law has just been diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer. It is progressing rather quickly and I am praying for a miracle. Cancer is such a terrible disease, I'm so thankful that we can have a hope beyond what we or the doctors can see. Our plan is to leave Thursday and fly back the end of the following week, so I will be out the shop for a while. Thanks everyone for your support!

These are the Birthday Boy Journaling Cards. They are so fun with check lists, cute graphics, stripes, checks, in blue, black, and white. They'd be great on invitations too!
These are the Seaside Glittered Artisan Labels. I haven't listed any new artisan labels in a while, which is odd because I just love them so much. So new styles and color combinations will be popping up, you won't want to miss them!

Today I'll be busy working on some samples from my shop to send to Ready Set Create Magazine. They want to feature some of my products in one of their summer issues! I'm so excited! Thanks ladies! A few announcements....

Hi everyone! Some new things are happening over at my shop Pink Owl Paperie so I wanted to be sure and let you know all about them. Starting next month I will be running monthly specials. If you notice over to the left I've added a mailing list sign up... so be sure to go and sign up so I can email you about the special of the month, sales, giveaways and other fun events.

I'm also going to start posting challenges to the blog in hopes that we will all have a very productive and "scrappy" 2009. The first challenge is going to involve getting all those Christmas and New Years photos scrapbooked. So you might want to make sure you have them downloaded and printed this week...I just sent mine off today. To make it a little more "inspiring" those of you who participate in the challenges will receive a little something from the shop.

Some Valentines goodies are finally going in the shop today, so be sure to stop on over and check them out!

A Surprise is Waiting.....

Wow! I just realized I am almost at my 100th sale! I thought I would commemorate this exciting event with a little something special for that 100th customer! I'm going to giveaway a super fun sampler pack to that lucky person! It's gonna be filled with some of the yummy goodies I have in the shop and a few new ones I'm working on. I'll post a photo after I get one taken. Speaking of photos, I have been so frustrated with photographing my Pink Owl goodies lately. The wonderful natural light that summer brought streaming in through my windows is gone. I don't get enough natural light anywhere in the house to get good photos. I can go outside, if it not raining or too windy, but the Montana winter is coming.... I'm just gonna have to get creative I guess! So anyway, long story short, please forgive the not so great photos for awhile. :) Good luck to that 100th customer, whomever you may be!

Giveaway news.....

I've got so many goodies for the shop...so check often this week because I am doing a major restocking before my vacation on Sunday! I am soooo excited about this trip. I am going on a 4 day cruise with my friend Jami, and the best part....there is scrapbooking on the cruise! One of my favorite gals in the scrapbook world, Candace Carpenter, is going to be there teaching classes in the evenings while we sail. Yeah! So it's a new port each day, lots of fun and sunshine, then scrapbooking all night long! (oh, and all the food we can eat, whenever we want....creme brule at midnight anyone???) :) It's gonna be so much fun! I'll be sure and post lots of photos from the projects and layouts so you can all get those holiday creative juices flowing.

I have lots of fun things in the works for everyone.... Jami is going to be making some eye candy for the blog using Pink Owl products. I thought it would be fun to have some more great ideas for using all those embellishments, so stay tuned. She is super creative! I would love to see how your using your purchases to... so please send me links/photos!

I also am planning a series of craft days for the holiday season. I have several projects planned... and this will start in October after I get back. These will be fun events where you will get step by step instructions to make holiday projects or gifts. I will give you supply lists etc before hand and then post instructions as I complete the projects with you. It should be a lot of fun, and a great way to get a jump start on the holidays. I don't know about you, but I always stay caught up better when it's a "scheduled" plan. I will also put kits or finished projects in the shop if anyone would rather do it that way.

Oh, so much more I would like to tell you, but I think I've rambled on long enough now...are you even still reading this? I'll be back later with the giveaway and only a brief post, I promise! :)

Labor Day Weekend Special

Hooray! I'm running a little special for the holiday weekend! If you spend $20.00 or more you will receive a free set of the "Sweetest Lil Clips." The special will run today, Saturday, through Monday. Happy shopping everyone and have a great weekend!

More Goodies for the Shop

I'll be adding more goodies to shop again today, like this yuuummy vintage lavender ribbon! It's so pretty and lacey with tiny little polka dots, your going to want to get your hands on some right away!

I'm decorating cupcakes today for a friends baby shower, how fun! I luv to make cupcakes! I printed out a French vintage baby powder ad onto some sticker paper and made some cute cupcake picks. (Oh, and I tried a new recipe for buttermilk cupcakes...wow! They are so yummy! I'd be happy to share the recipe if anyone else out there like to make cupcakes too!)

Ok, off to make frosting! Check the shop later for new items, and I'll be back to share some pictures later! (I'm working on another custom goodie box!)

Ok, I have the official sale dates: Thurs. July 31st - Sun. August 3rd. I'll be showing previews of the give-a-ways and gift with purchases etc. between now and then. I am going to be doing a give-a-way for anyone who wants to make a layout using one of the sketches I've listed on the blog. I just wanted to let you know so you had plenty of time! A winner will be randomly selected, and then I'll post the layout on the blog. So get scrappin!

Since it's about 1 week before the sale, anyone who purchases something from the shop between now and then will be entered into a prize drawing. On the first day of the sale I randomly draw a winner. Ok, more details to be revealed later as the week progresses. I've got lots of projects I'm working on so you'll be seeing new stuff in the shop all week.
